Differences at work can arise as a result of the different ways of behaviour of people. Some people can interact with almost anybody, whereas some will have friction with others. The ways we interact will affect our relationships and stress levels at work.
The DISC personality style model helps us in identifying our unique personality type. It helps us to understand ourselves and others better. We can understand how our styles of behaviours come across to others, how others’ styles affect us and how we can adjust our styles of interaction in order to improve our work relations and reduce stress. Once we understand how people interact with different styles of behaviour and in different environments, this can also help us in our decisions to hire, and place employees in work situations and teams that they can best function and interact well with each other.
Course objectives
At the end of this course, participants will understand their style of behaviours, and its strengths and weaknesses, learn how this style of behaviour affects others, and be able to read others’ style of behaviour. Learn how adapt their behavioural styles to others, and manage people they way they want to be managed.
